Uniting our Community

The MISSION of the (CCL) CENTRO CULTURAL LATINOAMERICANO is to bring together the neighborhood through culture, arts and participation of all people regardless of race, gender or creed. The Centre has developed community programs such as education, placement, food banks and healthcare. The CCL is a sociocultural space where all forms of expression are welcome. Community members have the opportunity to work together to achieve the fundamental rights of equality, freedom, social justice and peace.

The priority of the CCL is to develop and strengthen a sense of community through the practice of mutual respect, solidarity, dignity and freedom of belief with the aim of achieving an integrated and multicultural society. The CCL it’s a place where diversity is protected and respected. The CCL is firmly committed to fighting any form of racism and discrimination in the pursuit of world peace.

FOOD BANK (BANCO DE COMIDA)

The Food Bank service works on Fridays from 2 to 4pm. It is a project led and managed by volunteers from the community together with the Board of the Latin American Cultural Center. The food and goods that are distributed are provided by Second Harvest, Kitchen24 and Gino's No Frills with the vitsl and generous support of the Community Police of our neighbourhood.

ENGLISH CLASS

ESL English classes for are offered in three shifts, on MONDAYS: Group 1: 2pm - 4pm (Seniors) Group 2: 5:30 -7:00 pm (Basic) Group 2: 7:30 pm - 9:00 pm (Intermediate)

PHOTOGRAPHY

Community photography classes are taught throughout the year with specialized teachers. The current group starts in September 2023. Additional information contact us.
